About your room
Tastefully furnished with original features, vintage oil prints and dark wooden antique furniture, there is a wonderful view out over the sea, rolling lawns of the garden and old gazebo.
The large bathroom contains a bath, shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. There is also a flat screen TV with freeview channels, and tea-coffee making facilities.
Included in the price we serve a full English breakfast every day (at whatever time you choose) in our stunning dining room and we are proud to say that we have maintained a five star food hygiene rating for many years. If on the other hand, you don’t want a full English breakfast, or any breakfast at all, please get in touch to discuss a reduced rate.
Teignmouth has many good quality restaurants and pubs and we have our own family favourites that we are happy to recommend. You are also welcome to bring or order in takeaway food and we will provide cutlery, crockery and wine glasses and do the washing up for you (please note, we are not licensed to sell alcohol).
The house is situated in an elevated position in a relaxed and quiet area of the town and boasts stunning views of the sea beyond. We are within a ten minute walk of Teignmouth town centre, the railway station and the blue flag beach, a perfect location for an English seaside holiday base.

What’s nearby
Teignmouth, the gem of south Devon! Teignmouth is an ideal B and B location. It’s a traditional classic seaside holiday town with its Victorian pier, miniature golf, many independent shops, pubs, cafes and gorgeous cliff side park. It has two beaches, the main beach and the back beach, with distinctly different atmospheres.
The seawater here is clean and bathing is safe, and apart from the beach there is a lot to do even when the sun doesn’t shine. We have a beach hut which all our guests may use for free. The beach hut is equipped with a microwave and kettle so you can picnic by the sea in style.
Look out for one of the steam trains that often travels along the track that curves right next to the beach. The Teignmouth to Exeter railway line is arguably the most picturesque in the country and a trip on it is a holiday must.
Teignmouth has a museum, amazing coastal walks, a sea safari and plenty of watersports opportunities such as paddle boarding and kayaking. The town also has an abundance of puns and restaurants as well as the oldest passenger ferry in the country that takes you across the Teign the picturesque village of Shaldon.
With so much to do, there will be something to suit all in and around Teignmouth.
